We were in the heart of Suzhou’s old quarter, near Pingjiang shopping street. It’s a small, cozy hotel beside one of the little canals, a good option if you want to stay centrally. Just remember to request a canal view when booking, since not every room has one. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they washed our clothes once.
They welcomed us with tea and sent us off with a box of snacks. The staff were so kind, attentive, caring, and helpful throughout our stay. They also gave us brochures with places to see and things to do on foot, with names in both English and Chinese, plus suggestions for restaurants and spots farther away that you could reach by taxi. I’d recommend the hotel and plan to return at the end of the year. The service and the people were the best I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. 🙏
