The only real plus was the location inside Shantang area. When we arrived at the Hostel at the end of December 2018, nobody was at the front desk, and we waited 30 minutes before checking in. That night we realized we were the only couple staying there. Being alone with no staff around in case something happened was worrying, though luckily nothing did. The toilet flush had problems, and some of the photos didn't show the Hostel's actual condition. It definitely needs an upgrade. Terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

There was no breakfast available at the hostel, and despite the online claim of free wifi, customers couldn't use it. Staff said it was only for personnel. The rooms were clean and up to date, but those missing basics were disappointing.

It's not bad, but the lobby smells strongly of dogs.
