TongLi Yue Guan Shui Yuan Inn

We visited in winter and found the place almost empty, which surprised me given how high quality it is. Chinese tourists seem to like it, and Chinese apps give it a 4.8-star rating. It hasn't appeared on Google Maps yet, which is unpopular in China, where local apps cover everything and the country is relatively isolated from the rest of the world. The courtyard has a beautiful Chinese garden, and the accommodation is affordable and very well designed. It combines the traditional feel of Chinese living with modern comforts like air conditioning, heating, and underfloor heating. The Asian bathroom is lovely and minimalist, with an elegant feel. Our room didn't have a wardrobe, but that didn't bother us much. Breakfast was Chinese. As independent travelers from Germany, we had to get used to it, but we weren't in Germany. I'm the only European around, and this is the first review from a European. I'd highly recommend the place.
