I’ve stayed at different hotels before, but over the last two years I’ve kept choosing Tulian (Tui Blue). It’s in a quiet spot away from main streets, with a beautiful lake nearby and Huafa Plaza just a five minute walk away. The rooms are big and spotless, and breakfast has both warm Chinese dishes and Western style options. Great hotel in Taicang, fully recommend.

A quiet location, and I’d recommend the hotel. Just be aware that Google Maps puts it in the wrong place. It’s actually beside Tianjinghu Lake.
