Andy was the one good part of the hotel, and he checked us in. The room was disgusting and smelled bad. We also hired the hotel driver as a guide, but he cheated us out of money and wasted our time taking us to places he recommended. We later found out this was his way of making extra money.

The location works well, but the hotel is worn down and not very clean. Smoke reeks through the whole place.

The room had plenty of space and was fully equipped, though the furniture isn't very new. The bathroom was really nice, and the service guys were caring and friendly. I had a good stay.

The room was well maintained and equipped, and seemed fine to me. I didn't have breakfast here, so I can't comment on the food. The location is a big plus, with most of Suzhou's central sights within about a 1.5 km walk and a night street right behind the hotel, so finding food shouldn't be a problem. A taxi to Suzhou railway station is about 15 RMB. The building itself is quite old, though that fits with Suzhou being an older, quieter city than China's big cities. Weekends get very crowded, and traffic jams are unavoidable.

The hotel has lots of rooms and can accommodate a big group. My room was well equipped and larger than the room I had in Beijing.
