The hotel sits right beside a shopping mall, which I think is Taizhou’s second largest. There’s a Starbucks, KFC, and Domino's pizza there, plus more Chinese food shops and a large convenience store supermarket downstairs. Apart from the mall, there’s nothing else around the hotel. The rooms are very clean, though the toilet could be cleaner. They’re also surprisingly quiet, with good soundproofing. This was one of the quietest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was almost the same each day, and for a Hilton I expected more. I’d put the value for money at 6.5/10.

The service was the biggest letdown during my two days at Hilton Taizhou. The hotel looks modern and fairly new, and my room was perfectly acceptable, but the experience didn’t meet what I expect from the Hilton brand. I had a pleasant moment at the bar interrupted when a reception staff member came over abruptly with a payment terminal. They said there’d been an error with the room rate at check-in and that I needed to provide a larger deposit. Being confronted like that in front of my friends and other guests was humiliating and felt far from professional. Afterward, I was refused further service at the bar because of instructions from reception. That was also communicated publicly and felt disrespectful. There was no room service during my stay: no fresh towels and no water refill. The advertised express laundry service also didn’t live up to its name, so I ended up ironing my own shirts on a dirty ironing board. Hilton usually represents quality and service, but how guests are treated in unexpected situations here needs significant improvement. Based on my experience, potential guests may want to consider other places to stay in the area.

Everything felt new and beautiful at this amazing hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the executive club lounge is one of the nicest I’ve seen. There are plenty of power outlets around the room, including standard Chinese plugs and USB ports. The buffet restaurant was beyond compare, with far too much to sample in one visit. I paid $93.00 USD per night.

A lovely place to unwind, with really nice service and wonderful food. The desserts were incredible. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Taizhou.
