The rooms were tidy and clean, with proper toiletries, and the hotel seems well maintained. They have huge glazed windows. One thing to be aware of when booking is that the bathroom and toilet, as well as the hall, are separated by glass partitions without blinds or proper doors.

Unless you're here on business, I don't think the city is worth visiting. As a foreigner, though, you can feel comfortable at this hotel, and the staff speak reasonable English.

This is Jinyue International Hotel in Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China. Shanghai is a three-hour drive away, while Wuxi is about an hour away across the Yangtze River. The rooms have air conditioning and heating, plus wooden desks that work well for simple tasks. There's a wall-mounted flat-screen TV in each room, a good size for the space. Room service and luggage storage are available. Breakfast is buffet-style, with Chinese and Western food, along with desserts such as fruit and cakes.
