Conrad Tianjin

The hotel feels luxurious and comfortable, with a high standard throughout. Service was perfect, and everything was clean and neat. The laundry service was fantastic, though it costs quite a lot. We ate at the restaurant and the food was OK, but I expected a little better from a five-star hotel.

Tianta subway station is just a three-minute walk away, and the Conrad is in a prime spot in Tianjin. The new Luneng CC Mall next door has a full range of shops and food, while Tianta and Shuishang Park are places locals visit too. We stayed four nights for vacation and had an amazing experience. The hotel was built in 2019, and the circular driveway and warm, soothing lights made a nice first impression. Our room was clean and luxurious, with a top-of-the-line Toto toilet, a Nespresso machine, and at least six complimentary Conrad-branded water bottles. There were plenty of amenities despite the eco-friendly notice saying some had been omitted. Buttons controlled the shades and curtains. The room was comfortable, but it was very hot and dry at 26°C. Hilton couldn't control the temperature because of municipal government regulations. The concierges were helpful from the start, opening the door for our car and later taxis, and assisting with our luggage. Housekeeping was wonderful about replenishing water and toiletries. A special shoutout to Jessie Zhao, who took great care of us. The front desk staff were professional and helpful, but not very confident speaking English. English-speaking guests were usually referred to a supervisor. Check-in wasn't as smooth as I expected: the desk asked for confirmation of our friend's employment details to verify whether we qualified for the rate. No other Hilton property has asked me for this. Be ready with their name, position and the Hilton property where they work. The staff eventually said we could provide the details at any time during the stay and checked us in. I wish they'd told me that from the start, instead of leaving me to scramble for the information in the lobby. I gave it to them the next morning, but they asked for it again at checkout. The front desk experience wasn't what I was used to at the Conrad.

A great hotel with a bathtub and tea center. The restaurant has a range of breakfast options. It's near Water Park, Tianjin Tower and Nankai University.

Great gym, great food, and an excellent hotel.
