The hotel is a long way from the city, and there aren’t many choices at the nearby eateries and convenience store. We took Didi/Taxi to get there and to reach shopping malls about 6-8 km away. It’s a large, resort-style place with a huge, well-decorated lobby. Our spacious room was bright, clean, and cozy, with comfortable beds, a big writing desk, and a huge bathroom with a bathtub. Room service was good, too. The TV reception was poor. We asked room service to fix it, but the staff didn’t come right away, so we went out and let the person who came later work on it. The picture improved a little but still looked ghostly and blurry when we returned a few hours later. There were electric mosquito traps on the window and even on the desk lamp. They had minimal effect, but I didn’t feel comfortable around them, and you could get “electrocuted” if you weren’t careful. There was a small warning on the window, which I think most people would miss, and none on the desk lamp. Breakfast offered a large spread of local and international food, though some dishes and quality were hit and miss. The servers, mostly young people who may have been doing holiday jobs, were slow to clear used plates and sometimes just sat around or played on their phones. The stay was satisfactory, but these areas could be improved.

It’s quite far from the city, so having your own vehicle would be better. The rooms are nice, big, and beautifully decorated, with good views from the windows and enough amenities. The service was nice, the premises were well decorated, and the food was tasty.

The location is the downside, since it’s a long way from everything. Still, the rooms are beautiful, and the hotel has a palatial feel. Easily a five-star place.

The Crown Plaza has a really pleasant atmosphere. If you want somewhere quiet and nice without much noise, this is the place. Downtown is 15 minutes away by car. Enjoy it!
