Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Airport East by IHG

Although this is priced like a business hotel, my room was spacious and clean, more like a resort hotel. It's part of a global chain, east of Tianjin Airport, and took about 20 minutes to drive there. My company arranged the ride, so I can't say exactly where it is or how it connects to public transport. The area is quiet, with lots of apartment buildings, but not many restaurants or shops to give it much life. The bathroom has a shower but no bathtub, and the toilet isn't a bidet. They provided four bottles of water. Breakfast is Chinese style, with no Japanese food and not many Western options either. Wi-Fi is available, but China blocks Japanese social media, so a VPN is needed. Even with one, the connection here was unreliable, though that might have been an issue with the VPN company. I used my own Wi-Fi router instead. For a business-only stay, I found it comfortable.
