The low-priced booking deals need a close look. Some rooms have no windows, and in others the windows don't open, but that isn't mentioned anywhere. The hotel is very quiet, in the easternmost part of Tianjin/Binhai, and I felt comfortable there. The Ecological Park is right out front, with several other parks nearby, and pleasant, interesting places near Tianjin's port are easy to reach on foot. The breakfast buffet has a huge selection, though Europeans may need some time to get used to it, and you should know how to use chopsticks. Even the very friendly staff didn't seem to know how to work the toaster properly, and some items occasionally ran out.

The place was really quiet, so with nothing to do, I ended up sleeping the whole time. The city view is basically other people's apartments. It's fine if all you plan to do is sleep, but bring your own meals. The room was tidy and cleaned thoroughly, and the staff were friendly. Still, there was a lingering smell, maybe durian or sewer backflow, and the durian smell was especially strong in the hallway. There's almost nothing nearby. A supermarket right next door smelled of durian too and closed early; there were no other amenities or places to walk to, so you have to call a Didi or taxi. As for breakfast, I'll leave it at that.
