The restaurant left a big impression on me. I was there during the fondue festival and there was a huge choice of ingredients, with excellent service again. They also have a great European restaurant where the beef steak and lamb ribs were delicious. On my first visit, check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. My room was beautiful and well-kept, and I especially liked the armchair and ottoman. The laundry service was top-notch, with every item packed carefully and with real attention. A truly wonderful hotel!

I was disappointed that the complimentary items weren’t provided in my room. I also didn’t get Club Lounge access during my stay, even though the Marriott Bonvoy application clearly listed “This room features Club Lounge access” as a special benefit of the room I selected and paid for.

I had room 1939, which had everything I needed, modern furniture, and a comfortable bed. It was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve had. The bathroom was very clean, with a bath tube and a separate shower. Breakfast was a good quality international spread, and the staff ran the hotel efficiently.

The whole hotel was unbearably hot during summer, with barely any air conditioning. At USD175+ a night, the room also looked really dated, and the old carpet smelled horrible.

The friendly, approachable Concierge and Executive Lounge crew were the saving grace. The suite bed had sunk and smelled damp, and the hotel badly needs renovation. It didn’t feel like a Renaissance Hotel, and the front desk service was poor, with the crew needing more training.
