Our room was roomy and comfortable, though getting things across was difficult unless my business partner from Tonghua was with me. The hotel did make an effort to arrange halal food for breakfast and dinner, which I appreciated. We were there for work, and the hotel is only about 200m from the highway exit. It's around 45 minutes from the North Korea border. Our guide took us to the border town, where there wasn't much to see across the border, but there were some excellent Korean restaurants and fun activities. In winter, this area has become a spot for skiing and other winter activities.

We stayed two nights while touring Changbaishan, and I was very satisfied. The hotel is in tonghua county, not tonghua city. It's clean throughout, with a very nice interior, and breakfast was good. I'd definitely recommend it.
