I can’t see why this place gets recommended. The bathroom smelled like sewage, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the sink spout came off while we were using it. Our door lock jammed three times, too. It was also very noisy. Workers shouted to each other whenever they needed something and talked loudly on walkie-talkies. An early night wasn’t really possible because they didn’t seem able to speak softly.

We stayed for two nights during our October 2019 visit to Turpan. The vineyard surroundings were easy on the eyes, a nice setting to rest our tired legs. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was superb.

At the last second, my transport plans fell through, and the hotel staff were instrumental in quickly arranging an alternative. The hotel is beautiful and the staff accommodating. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
