The hygiene was far below what I expected, even allowing for this being a budget hotel. The elevator smelled like puke, and there were huge stains on the corridor and room carpets. The shower had lots of black marks, and the room floor felt sticky. Just dirty.

I stayed from 20/05/24-26/05/24. It's a fairly cheap, neat three-star hotel, though quite far from the city center. My room was clean, and the laundry worked well. The central beach is fairly close, and breakfast was included, with pastries, soup, cereal, and other choices. The coffee machine was okay too. Bus 12, which costs 1 yuan per person, or K5 at 2 yuan per person, makes it easy to get to the city center while on vacation. There was free water, tea, and coffee bags in the room. The staff were friendly and tried to help, but they only knew a few English words.

On my second stay at Holiday Inn Express Weihai Hi Tech Zone, I found the room very clean and the breakfast very good. Breakfast Chef Zengxu Yu was fabulous, making good food and making me feel at home. It's one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I've stayed at.

There's a coin-operated laundry, and the hotel is really close to the beach and right beside a great park for kids. It's not fancy.
