On Mount Hua's highest peak, South Peak (2155m), the Huashan Plank Walk runs along the eastern side over a precipice, with iron chains fixed into the rock on one side. Getting there takes about 20 minutes on foot from South Peak, an hour from East Peak, or 30 minutes from West Peak.
