The only thing going for this place is the metro, about a two-minute walk from the entrance. Otherwise, I’d tell people to avoid it, especially at the price they charge. It felt like dealing with scammers. They charged 85 euro to wash just some underwear and socks, and nobody told us the cost beforehand. The room smelled bad, there was mold in the shower, and its loose drain felt dangerous. There wasn’t even a toilet brush, so you couldn’t clean up after using the toilet. Really unhygienic. They present themselves as a five-star hotel, but three to four stars would be more reasonable. Even the exterior looks unpromising, like an old communist building from the Cold War. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We had a good stay, and the room was excellent. The hotel is right by a metro exit, but there’s no elevator or escalator there, so we had to haul our suitcases up two flights of stairs.

The hotel itself is reasonable, but some staff could use customer service training. We booked a double non-smoking room and were given a dark, dirty twin smoking room instead. Reception said nothing else was available, then found another room after I made a fuss. When we checked out, they couldn’t give us a receipt. I wouldn’t stay again.

I was comfortable during my one-night visit to Wuhan. The lobby had elegant decor and the service was excellent. I even got a reminder when I accidentally left something behind.

Room prices being high or low comes down to personal preference, I think. For a business traveler, the room was decent for what it cost, and the staff provided excellent service.
