We visited in winter, and the hallways weren't heated. The room heating struggled to keep up, and the breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired. Staff had trouble communicating in English. The place is nicely designed, but it's under new management now, and much of the rest of the complex still seemed to be in development. Maybe we just caught it in a very quiet off season. It didn't feel set up for Westerners.

The hotel has a lovely setting, with wide views and beautiful scenery, and parking is easy with plenty of spaces above and below ground. Staff were friendly and the service was decent, with a somewhat luxurious feel. The bathrooms are on balconies, an unusual design, and from the bathtub you can see Taihu Lake through the bathroom glass. Some parts of the carpets and the interior and exterior walls looked dirty and worn, perhaps because of staff shortages. It was formerly the DoubleTree by Hilton Wuxi Lingshan Yuanyi Hotel. The property owner took it over on May 2, 2016, renamed it Toyatt Hotel & Resorts Wuxi, and it seems to be run by a company under the owner.
