Wuxi Nanchang Street Qingming Bridge Subway Madison Hotel

Compared with the "Bai" (Bai) hotel I stayed in a few days earlier, this place feels much more upscale. Not having Alipay or WeChat on the mainland was a real hassle, but they could still arrange a taxi, and the female supervisor was especially helpful. Service was great: the room was genuinely smoke-free, laundry was picked up each day and brought back the next, and staff brought water or toilet paper when I asked. The air conditioning stayed at a steady temperature without needing adjustment, which was comfortable. Breakfast was okay, though the restaurant staff chatted among themselves and didn't seem very attentive to guests. I hope management improves that. I also wish there were a water dispenser, since repeatedly topping up bottled water and boiling it myself was a nuisance.
