There’s plenty to do nearby, and booking tours straight through the hostel was handy. The bar had a good choice of drinks, including my favourite German beer. For a hostel, the room was spacious, with a king-size bed and private bathroom. The shower was hot with good pressure, though it leaked and there was no bath mat. The whole place felt cold in winter, and the heating was minimal even in the room.

The day trip to the Terracotta Warriors was a highlight. I went with other people from the hostel and we had a knowledgeable, interesting guide who spoke fluent English. The rooms are beautiful, the shared spaces lively, and the Muslim Quarter is an easy walk away.

They run free activities each day, including dumpling-making, and the bar has happy hour with a nice range of beers on tap. A cool hostel, with clean rooms and friendly staff.

The hostel has a lively feel and good food. Staff were helpful, and the Terracotta Warriors excursion was very reasonably priced. A five-star hostel for me.

This is NOT at this location. It's down the lane across the street. See hantang inn. Great hostel, and the cleanest place I've stayed in China. Prices changed from day to day. I paid as little as 30 and as much as 45. Worth every Yi jiao!
