Hilton Garden Inn Xi'An Bell Tower

A modern city hotel with decent rooms and a contemporary design. The breakfast was good. The dark colors in the room might not suit everyone.

The rooms were spacious and the hotel is close to the South Gate, with good quality for a 3* hotel. Mine smelled somewhat of mold, though, and the breakfast selection was limited.

The room was spacious, though the lighting and decor made it feel dark. The fittings were modern, including an automatic toilet. There was some noise from the third floor, which is used for non-suite activities, but nothing from the street outside my second-floor room.

The location made getting around easy: the Drum Tower was about a 10-minute walk, and the Bell Tower was a few minutes farther, right in the center of Xi'an. Our room was large, with a separate sofa and reading table, and the shower and toilet were in separate areas. I think the beds were King+. Breakfast had a nice mix of local and Western dishes, plus a good selection of desserts. We stayed two nights on a tour, and the hotel felt in line with what I expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. I’d read that the rooms were dated, but ours seemed up to date, and the service was very good. No complaints about the hotel or room.
