The staff were good and could manage some English, and the room was clean. At night there was a nice view of the old city wall. The narrow food street and sightseeing spots are within walking distance.

A good base for seeing Xi'an's Old Town, or for taking the subway and bus to the Terracotta Army. Breakfast had a varied spread, mostly Asian with a little European food. Bacon alongside the fried eggs would have been a nice addition.

Noise from nearby places carries up to the third and fourth floors. The hotel sits in a narrow alley, so getting a car in and out is inconvenient.
