Pudding Hotel

There are shopping malls, restaurants and bars around the hotel, so the area feels lively. It's near the south gate of the ancient city and a subway station, which makes getting around convenient. Taxis are the most common way to travel in China, and they're inexpensive. My double room was spacious and on a high floor, with clear views both inside and outside the city walls. Basic toiletries were provided. The breakfast was average, with Chinese and Western choices. There's also a basic gym and self-service laundry.

We had a clean, nice room and they generously refilled the water. The location is good, near the city walls and SKP, and breakfast was delicious. We booked a family room for three, and the staff did a nice job setting up the sofa bed, but they kept bringing towels for only two people, so we had to contact them again to get more. If I come back, I think I'd book a room with a view of the city walls.

The buffet was only mediocre, and the room layout had plenty of poorly thought-out details despite the building feeling new. It’s on a main road, so motorcycle horns and other traffic noise get pretty loud at night. Smoking also happens indoors, since the hotel isn’t non-smoking.
