The bed and thick comforter were especially comfortable, and the bathing amenities were excellent. The architecture and decorations at The Westin Xi’an are beautiful, with a lobby that makes a strong first impression. It’s easy to explore in the evening, with Datang Everbright City a short walk away and Giant Wild Goose Pagoda nearby. A very enjoyable stay, and a must-stay in Xi’an.

Lots of restaurants, shops, and nightlife are right outside the doorsteps. It’s a trendy area by the Great wild goose pagoda, and the location can’t be beat. Highly recommended for a stay in Xi'an.

This was my worst experience. My wife booked an aroma massage and I booked a foot massage at the hotel spa, and I made sure they would be in the same room. A male foot massage therapist came in, gave my wife disposable underwear, and told her to change. She was expected to get an aroma massage nude in that same room while I had my foot massage. How could she undress and be massaged in front of another man? Would it have been inappropriate to put us in separate rooms? It felt insulting and made no sense to me. The front desk said the hotel couldn’t do anything because the spa doesn’t belong to it. I think that’s an excuse, and I want clear action. I’ll formally raise this with Marriott until I understand what happened.

The Westin Xi’an is close to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, despite being shown in the wrong place on Google Maps. It’s a short walk from the metro station and easy to reach by taxi. The hotel is clean and centrally located, with a nice breakfast and lots of choices. Staff are very friendly, though their English is limited. Highly recommended!

After a rigorous business-trip schedule in China, the massage I booked at the hotel was much needed. The staff were outstanding, and my room was spotless and very comfortable. Great food and a beautiful historic city too. Truly top tier, highly recommend.
