Tianyu Fields International Hotel

Good.

Breakfast was a highlight: lots of fruit and baked goods, plus Korean-style side dishes, with small changes from day to day so it didn't get dull. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom and bathtub were clean too, and housekeeping came every day. The fridge is quite small and hard to spot. There's also a 15-meter pool and a small gym. It's a bit of a way from the city center, but there's a tidy park across the main road to the left of the entrance where people dance and exercise in the morning. A walk there is nice. Head right from the entrance for about 11 minutes and you'll find Hippo Mart in the basement of the building with McDonald's, handy for snacks or gifts.

The dining options are pretty good, with buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are lots of local dishes, and European food too, so even someone who prefers that won't go hungry. Everything is marked in Chinese and English, and the food is very good. The Japanese food counter was the one part I wouldn't go back to. There are also several small private rooms for groups. The hotel is clean and well kept, and the staff are very polite and helpful. Most speak English quite well. I'd feel comfortable recommending it to anyone coming to this wonderful city.

The food is delicious and the hotel looks beautiful, with a very high-end feel. There's basically nowhere nearby to walk around or explore, though.
