Binbei Yiho Hotel

We really appreciated how warmly the team looked after us and made our birthday celebrations memorable. That included the Customer Service Team (Emily Huang, Doris Cai, Nancy Lan, Eve He, and Irene Huang), Duty Manager Gary Huang, the 8th-floor housekeeper, Ms. Jenny in the breakfast restaurant, and the breakfast chef. Our two-bedroom suite was spacious, modern, and nicely designed. It was a wonderful stay.

Our club room was worth the price, with a sea view and access to the lounge for tea and light dinner. The room itself was large and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is also well placed for Yun Dang Lake and the ferry terminal to Gulang Island.

Staff were pleasant, and there’s a KFC, minimart, and subway station about a 5-minute walk away, though there isn’t much else around the hotel. There seem to be old and new wings. The newer one was comfortable and good, while the older wing could use some refurbishment. I could hear the couple in the next room talking.

I wouldn’t stay here if you’re sensitive to smoke. My “non-smoking” room smelled so strongly of old cigarettes that my eyes watered and my throat hurt overnight. I wore a mask to bed and the staff provided an air purifier, but neither solved it. The odor seemed soaked into the carpet and curtains. The room didn’t feel habitable, and the fixes they offered weren’t enough for a smell this bad.
