The location was hard to beat: the Seafood Market is about a five-minute walk away, and shops for souvenirs and other goodies are right above the hotel. The market didn’t feel like a tourist trap, so we felt we were unlikely to get scammed. It also has well-known street foods like Wu Xiang and Pancakes. Our room was huge, with space for a corner and a 1.8m sofa to relax on. Service was great too. Special thanks to Ge Yi, who helped ship back the t-shirt I’d forgotten.

The layout of the room was great, and everything was clean and affordable. It’s very handy for getting to the airport bus stop and island Ferry terminal. I’d recommend it.

The room was spacious, and the front desk staff and security guard were friendly and helpful. But the air was full of dust and smelled of cement because the 5th floor was being renovated. The noise disturbed us badly throughout our stay, especially at night and into the early morning. We were surprised management allowed this work over the weekend, and they completely disregarded our complaints and the safety of hotel guests.

Cleanliness was a real problem. The first room was bad, and the second was worse, with mould in the sink. The front office staff were friendly when we checked in, but after I told them both rooms had hygiene issues following our inspections, they seemed like different people. They gave us black looks and didn’t even apologize. Bad attitude. Please avoid this hotel.
