The room service and breakfast were great. On arrival for our first family trip to Xiamen to visit relatives, we were disappointed by the smell and ventilation in block 5. After we raised it, the hotel moved us to another room. Special thanks to Aunty Ma Junxiaand also Wu Fenglian for their fantastic service.

The location is good, and the staff were friendly, apart from the cleaner auntie. For the MRT, you can ask for a shuttle from 8 building to South Gate.

The rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent, making this one of the better places to stay in Xiamen City. Most rooms allow smoking. The menu may be hard for foreigners to recognize, especially vegetarians, so ask the hotel staff for help choosing. Some dishes have different kinds of mushrooms or edible weeds, so watch out if you have allergies.

The rooms are okay, though they could be more modern and better. Staff don't speak English well, but they do try to help however they can. The hotel is close enough to walk to the city centre, with services nearby, including the new metro line. You can also book sightseeing trips, such as the one to the Tulou, at reception.
