The restaurant was a highlight for us. The food was excellent, especially the blueberry pistachio tart, and dinner in the lounge was good enough that we didn't feel like eating elsewhere. The gym was particularly nice, too, and the location worked well for us. We stayed here with family for leisure, and the staff made the whole visit feel special from the moment we arrived. Everyone was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful. This is one of the best Fairmont hotels in China, and the staff were the best we've experienced. The property is modern and beautifully maintained, just what you'd expect from a Fairmont. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.

We eventually got the breakfast that our Klook confirmation said was included, but the way the hotel handled it was really disappointing. At check-in, staff insisted breakfast wasn't part of our booking, even after we showed the reservation. We had to contact Klook ourselves to sort it out, which took time and caused unnecessary hassle. The issue was resolved, but hotel management never apologized for the mistake or the inconvenience. For a hotel of this standard, I'd expect basic accountability and professionalism. The whole experience showed poor coordination, weak management, and little customer care. Guests shouldn't have to argue for something they've already paid for.

The Christmas tree lighting in the lobby was a lovely way to welcome the festive season. I was invited, and the GM and staff did a great job making the stay memorable. The rooms are modern and well appointed, thanks to Lily, and the Fairmont Gold lounge service was detailed and personal. Pauling was a delight and had great recommendations. The gym is huge, breakfast was nice, and the Chinese restaurant was really good. Gaoqi airport is close by, only about 15 minutes away, so this is well worth considering.

The hospitality stood out, with staff going out of their way to help. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and designed around guests' needs. I'd make this my first choice when visiting Xiamen.

The Italian restaurant was very good, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The hotel was only a month old when we visited, and the location was fabulous. We'll be back, and I'd highly recommend booking a stay while in Xiamen.
