The bed was nice, and they supplied all the toiletries and other basics. Breakfast was amazing, and they brought out a new menu when the food ran out. The drinks lady could have been a bit nicer, though. This is a Xiamen Air transit hotel, but searching online for the name printed on the paperwork won’t bring up Hooray Hotel. The taxi driver will know it, at least. Aside from that, getting there was easy.

My room on the Executive Floor was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the floor stayed so quiet that I never saw anyone there. In fact, most of the hotel seemed deserted during my stay. Even the huge restaurant, with all its buffet breakfast choices, had only a handful of other guests. Not a bad stay at all.

In October 2024, the room air conditioning wasn’t cold at all. I called room service, and an auntie came up to show me it was cooling and said to set it to 21°C instead of the 19°C I’d chosen. First time in my life I slept with no clothes on and no blanket.

The hotel was very nice, with big rooms and a bathroom and shower I liked, plus plenty of space. They left complimentary water, an apple, snacks, and tea in the room. It was convenient for smokers, too. The bed was very hard, and the staff didn’t speak English. Breakfast could use more Western food, since there was only Chinese food.
