The room price included a Chinese buffet breakfast with rice, noodles, congee, and similar dishes. Eggs and toast were the only Western options. We booked a business queen room through Ctrip, paid in cash when we arrived, and didn't need to pay any fees. The room was spacious and the hot water worked fine. There's a BRT station right in front, which is very convenient. A taxi to ZhongShan shopping street or Gulangyu Pier cost less than 20 rmb each way. We also booked a Hakka house earthen buildings tour through the hotel. It cost 150 rmb and was worthwhile. Nothing to complain about.

I checked out of room 1209 today, May 9th. The hotel service was generally satisfactory, but the bathtub's safety grab bar had come loose and I nearly fell. I hope they repair it soon so another guest doesn't get hurt.
2/10
The rooms feel old and uncomfortable, and the price is expensive.
