The buffet lunch is great, and the food in general is delicious. The staff are amazing, everything works, and I tried hard to find something wrong but couldn't. Thanks, guys, I'll be back. Sorry to the team at the Mercure, but after three chances I switched to Pullman, and I'm much happier.

The nearby park was great for jogging, and I appreciated the front desk upgrading us to a lake-view room. The surroundings are nice too. Breakfast was so-so, and it seemed like no staff could speak English.

For 1,575 yuan for three nights, the price was very reasonable in a pre-COVID year. I picked it because it's part of the Accor chain. It's a decent 4-star hotel, about as far from five-star as the Sofitel in Guangzhou. The view is nice, it's fairly clean, and the bar, food, and Bigelow cosmetics are all decent. It's conveniently located too. What more could you want?
