The spacious, clean deluxe suite was comfortable for my four-night stay. What I especially appreciated was Ms. Tian Shuang at Orange Crystal Hotel. I needed a local contact and recipient while applying for a resident certificate at the local police station so I could open a bank account. She kindly agreed to receive the documents and mail them to Taiwan. Her thoughtfulness and friendliness made my first trip to China memorable, smooth, and enjoyable. I'll choose Orange Crystal Hotel again next time I'm in China.

In the evening, fruit sellers set up stalls in the spacious, bright underpass. It's fantastic.

I didn't stay overnight, but wandered through the shops on both sides of Zhongshan Road. There were so many tasty Xiamen foods and drinks to browse, and I bought a dried eel for 235 RMB. Thumbs up!
