The rooms have a comfortable, quaint feel, with furnishings that bring the nice 60s era to mind. It’s also one of the few hotels with clean windows.

The staff were hospitable, especially the restaurant manager, who greeted our group warmly and made sure we were treated well. But the hotel needs better room cleanliness and sanitation: there was a toilet odor, and the bedsheets felt a little itchy. The furnishings could use improvement too. With such a prime location so close to Zhongshan Lu, I hope they refurbish soon.

It’s an old hotel, but it’s very close to zhongsan road and its famous nightlife.

The service was good, but the whole hotel smelled, and the room felt very old-fashioned.

The location, facilities, and price all feel worth five stars. At night, it’s easy to hail a tuk-tuk for 2 RMB, and there’s enough to shop around for two nights without running out of things to do.
