The harbourfront setting gives the hotel great views, and the property feels new and modern throughout, from the lobby to the rooms and restaurant. My room was spacious, and breakfast had a great selection.

I still remember the soup bar from a business stay here about four years ago. It was full of healthy greens and other things an American might not usually eat for breakfast, but I felt great afterward. It was a real Popeye breakfast. Every so often I think about coming back on vacation just to have it again.

The views were breathtaking both day and night, and there was plenty of delicious food at the breakfast and dinner buffets. Jessica Ma deserves a special thank you for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. She had a warm smile and paid close attention to what guests needed. Staff were friendly and professional, check-in and checkout were easy, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. I've stayed at quite a few five-star hotels in and around China, and this is one of the most outstanding. I'd definitely recommend it when visiting exotic Xiamen.
