Zijin Hotel - Xiamen

The restaurant was good, too. The hotel is close to the airport, and there's a shuttle if you don't feel like walking. Thanks, and see you again.

Really good service, just perfect!

The room felt roomy, and the hotel is close to the airport. It looks fairly new, has a TV, and even provides rock tea to brew. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and the mirror's defogging works really well. I also liked the friendly service. They'll send room service with a smart robot, though it can take a while. Check-out is as late as 2 PM, which was great for sleeping in before a late flight. I would've liked more flexible check-in, too. A few things bothered me: the toiletries smelled too masculine for my taste, and the plastic slippers were noisy. There were no trash bags in the bins, which made me uneasy about throwing things away. The airport shuttle stops at 10 PM, so after that it's a taxi or a walk. Breakfast isn't included, and there's no bathtub. Still, I liked my stay.

For my next layover, I'd choose this hotel again. I flew from Lanzhou to Xiamen with a 17-hour stop, long enough to have dinner and rest overnight. The hotel is only about a 3-5 minute drive from the airport, so I saved time and got a little more sleep. Its free airport shuttle needs to be booked ahead. Inside, the furnishings were neat, and everything was clean and odor-free.
