Angsana Xian Lintong Hotel

The reception staff were really nice, and we picked this resort because it’s close to the Terracotta Warriors. But the place felt very dated, the food was below average and incredibly expensive, and it was packed with families with young children. Most guests seemed to order food to their rooms, so later in the day the corridors and elevators got crowded with delivery workers. Next time, we’ll stay downtown in Xi’an, where there’s much more choice and better food.

I’ve visited twice over the last two years, and the hot springs have been a lot of fun both times. After a day of sightseeing, they’re a great way to relax. Entry to the hot springs ends at midnight, and they close at 1 a.m. The hotel feels very new, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It’s a bit expensive, but the best option in Lintong, and maybe even in Xi’an.

We really enjoyed the food, the room, and especially the hot springs. There was some stress from a miscommunication between Accor and Angsana, but the staff did their best to sort it out and help us feel comfortable.

It’s a beautiful, high-class resort outside Xian, close to the emperor's tomb and warriors. The spa and hot spring outlet were lovely, and there’s one of the biggest indoor pools, along with fine dining. The service was impeccable. It isn’t cheap, but I thought it was worth it. Highly recommended.
