The quiet room was a surprise given how busy the area is, and it was modern and comfortable, with a big bed, clean bathroom, and good AC. Housekeeping kept the towels and amenities replenished whenever needed. I spent two nights here on a short trip to Xi’an, and it was honestly one of my best hotel stays in China. It's right in the old city, close to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. Most places are walkable, and taxis or the metro are easy to get, so exploring the main sights doesn't involve long transfers. The lobby feels classy and upscale without trying too hard. Check-in was quick, and the staff were warm and helpful with directions, including for non-Chinese speakers. They also took time to explain local transport and good food streets, which felt thoughtful. Breakfast had a decent mix of Western and Asian food. Nothing at fine-dining level, but solid and handy before a busy day of sightseeing. The stay was stylish and comfortable, and the central location is hard to beat for a first visit to Xi’an. It felt worth the price for a reliable, pleasant stay without surprises. Couples, solo travelers, or anyone after an easy base near food and sights should find it a good fit. It's not especially cheap, but I felt I got my money's worth.

The sautéed cowpea beans were especially tasty. This 4 star hotel had clean, spacious rooms, and the breakfast spread offered a good mix of Western and local dishes.

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance, unfortunately, but otherwise everything was great. Service and hospitality were very good, and my room was clean and spacious. I got the upgrade I expected, probably because it was low season in Xi’an. The complimentary breakfast had so many choices that it was more than enough.

It’s a nice hotel, but the rooms are hot, hot, hot. They should turn on the AC when so many guests are staying here. At the Mercato bar, we couldn't even sit down. The male waiter was rude, even though other people were still seated inside. Bad!

The club lounge staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I got back late and didn't feel like having a big meal, so they made me a fruit platter without me asking. The hotel is older in style, but my suite was nice, with 1 1/2 bath and a separate living room. As a non-smoker, though, I could smell that someone had smoked in the room before. The immediate surroundings aren't anything special, and food choices are limited if you're a Westerner who doesn't like Chinese food.
