Wyndham Grand Xian Residence

We were grateful for how the managers supported us when our son was injured at the pool. They arranged a driver and had one manager accompany us to the emergency room. Another manager met us there, stayed the whole time, helped with translation and made sure our son got the best possible care. On the return trip, holiday road closures were a problem, but the manager travelling with us coordinated with the authorities so we could get back quickly and safely. That help meant a lot during a stressful time, and we'll always remember their kindness. We stayed over the holiday weekend, and the whole property was clean and well maintained in a great area. The breakfast buffet was huge, with lots of different choices. Staff were welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived.

Tang Shopping Street connects directly to the hotel, so local culture, crafts and other finds are right outside, along with a lively atmosphere. It was a nice mix of an opulent, tranquil retreat and somewhere engaging to explore. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and comfortable, with luxurious modern amenities and carefully chosen high-tech features. Traditional Chinese design elements sit alongside the contemporary style, and everything was clean. The service was impeccable, with attention to detail throughout. For me, it felt like a five-star stay with both traditional charm and modern luxury.

One lovely part of the area is the Great Tang All Day Mall, within walking distance. There are food streets, light shows and cultural activities, and an evening stroll there feels pleasant and romantic. The hotel is in Qujiang New District, close to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the mall, which made getting around convenient. At the hotel, Nancy and her service team were friendly and professional, always ready to help. They even took the time to arrange and book a banquet dinner, a famous Xi’an experience. The restaurants serve a broad mix of Chinese and Western food for breakfast and dinner, with local specialties especially worth trying. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with elegant design, quality bedding and modern amenities. The hotel also has a heated pool, gym and spa. Wyndham Grand Xi’an South blends traditional culture with modern design, and I’d recommend it for leisure or business.

The location is a highlight: it’s a little south of the city center, so the area feels peaceful, yet it’s right by Everbright Datang, which comes alive with lights and performances at night. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is also nearby. Wyndham Grand Xian South feels brand new, with modern decor, spacious and spotless rooms, and thoughtful touches that made the stay feel luxurious. The gym and spa were top-tier, and the staff were warm, professional and attentive. It was one of my best hotel stays, and I’d recommend it for business or leisure.
