The views at Tianzi Lake are lovely, and there are several buildings around the site. It sits northwest of Kaogan City, about a 40-minute drive north of the center. Visitors can stay there, use the sports facilities, or take sightseeing boats. There's a 20-yuan entrance fee. It also seems to host training and conferences for Wuhan's business community. In Japan, it would be something like a national holiday village.
