Rebecca Hotel (Xuchang Caowei Ancient City)

I've been staying at the Rebecca for 18 years, and we held our wedding reception there too. The staff are friendly and well trained, and they really want you to feel happy, safe, and comfortable. Highly recommend it.

The breakfast had plenty of choices, and the souvenir pack was a nice touch. The hotel is pleasant, with clean rooms and a good view, especially of the beautifully reconstructed old city. It's in the small township of Xuchang.

The rooms feel modern and nicely furnished, and in the dry winter the air humidifier was a lifesaver. I also loved the breakfast, with plenty to choose from if Henan food is too hot and spicy for you. Staff and service were great, too. I had caviar delivered the day before check-in, and they kindly kept it in the staff freezer. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from CaoAncientCity. Right across the way is the hotpot place Little Days, which you have to try. If you like smelly tofu, try the one near the end of the street in CaoAncientCity. I fell in love with beautiful XuChang and Rebecca Hotel. It was the best hotel of my 10-day trip in China, a five-star stay for me.

The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable, which makes this an impressive option and, to me, the best choice when visiting Xuchang. The only slight inconvenience was that no staff member spoke English well, but I still recommend the hotel.
