The dining was a bright spot. Quanjude, the well-known Peking duck restaurant in the hotel, was quite tasty. Breakfast also offered plenty of choice, especially noodles, and the steamed dishes were good. Our check-in for two rooms took a long time, and the staff muttered, “So annoying!” which made the experience unpleasant. The room was small, and mold in the shower wall cracks was a bit disgusting. The air conditioner was confusing: it was chilly, but at low fan speed it seemed to heat, while turning it up made it feel like cooling. Hot water from the basin came out milky white, so I didn’t feel it cleaned my face properly.
