Chunmei Yashe Lodge, cozy and elegant accommodation in the mountain.

The owners made us feel very welcome and were accommodating, with helpful suggestions for things to do. We stayed four nights in mid October with my family. Our spacious rooms were clean, the en suite bathrooms were large with hot water, and the views from the rooms were spectacular. There’s a dining hall for breakfast, and for lunch and dinner you can order from a menu. We found the food really delicious. We’d recommend this place to other travellers.

Jujubo at the front desk spent hours going over a map with us to figure out a route through Zhangjiajie. He booked our national park tickets, helped us make sense of confusing packet meals, and arranged for the chef to cook a delicious duck hotpot on a night when we couldn’t find anywhere for dinner. The staff made everything easier, and the service felt almost like staying in a homestay. The hotel is high up the mountain, less than a 10 minute walk from the nearest park entrance. It was winter and there wasn’t much going on, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The rooms were gorgeous and had stunning views. It’s an absolute must stay.
