Getting around was easy because we booked airport pickup both ways through the hotel after flying into Zhangjiajie. It's right beside the Yangjiajie entrance to the park, which is really convenient. Lucas speaks excellent English, shared lots of local tips, and helped us plan our park visits each day. He and his team were superb with the hospitality and service, and the food was excellent. They handled different food requests easily. The rooms were bright and clean, and in spring we didn't need air conditioning or heating. Recommended!

The owner picked us up at the bus terminal and helped carry our luggage. He also planned a sensible 2.5 day Zhangjiajie trip for us with lots of useful information, drove us to Tianmen Mt., bought the cable tickets, and took us back to the train station on our last day. He provided all of that enthusiastically and for free, which made our trip much more enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently near the bus terminal and train station. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Zhangjiajie MINI Inn is a budget option in central Zhangjiajie, handy for getting to the train and bus stations, shopping mall, restaurants, coffee shops, and entertainment. It's inexpensive and clean, though simple and nowhere near the glamour of a star hotel. You can book online through hotel sites or go in person. In a normal season there's usually a room available; in peak season, the chance is 50 by 50.

The hostel itself is clean and pleasant, with good heating and a great location. The host was asleep when we arrived, so we had to wake him to check in. He wasn't very available for questions, partly because of his English. The cleaner came around 9 after knocking and calling several times, so sleeping in isn't likely.
