The rooms were spacious and clean, but much too hot. We tried adjusting the AC display and couldn’t cool them down. After we complained to reception, it was cooler for only a few hours, then we woke up feeling hot in bed.

The AC controller in the room seems to be for show. Even in autumn, the temperature stayed around 21-22 degrees Celsius. I called the front desk for two days, and they said the AC was centralized and they hadn’t turned on the heater, even though guests still wanted it colder. My mistake was checking into this hotel because it was part of my tour package.

The hotel is in a good location, but the air conditioning in the room didn’t work. I asked for a portable fan, but they said all the available fans had already gone to rooms that requested them earlier. That suggests most rooms had faulty AC. This was a one-star stay, especially since it was warm season.

I stayed for four days in May 2025, and the AC was shut off at 2 am and switched back on at 5 am. My room stayed at 27°C, so I couldn’t sleep past 4 am on any of the four days. I was exhausted and couldn’t enjoy the tours properly. If you’re used to sleeping at 22°C-24°C, skip this hotel. When I asked for help, they didn’t care and were really rude. 😞

The hotel has a classy look, and its staff were polite and professional. Breakfast was above average, with lots of choices, while dinner was decent. There was also a good massage service. It’s one of the best hotels in Zhangjiajie.
