Ramada by Wyndham Zhangjiajie

The cable car at Dayson Road City, taking the B-path up the mountains, is a world-class tourist experience. The hotel itself is top class, and the Chinese breakfast is more like a full lunch. It tasted good. Coffee could be better for European guests, and the helpful staff were working across a language barrier worth keeping in mind.

Only two escalators serve all 12 floors, so mornings get very congested. The hotel feels old and worn, and the rooms were quite dirty. The carpets were old and stained, and there was still dirt and hair along the edges where they hadn't been vacuumed properly.

Having a supermarket downstairs was really convenient. Our upgraded double room was roomy, with a bathtub and plenty of natural light. Breakfast was good too, though it became very crowded at peak times.

I stayed four days and had no problems. The hotel cleaned the room each day and replenished the bathroom supplies, while the bedding was clean and comfortable. I also never heard noise from other rooms. There was a massage parlor on the sixth floor, a nice way to ease the tiredness from traveling. Breakfast could have had more variety.
