Serenity Valley - Zhangjiajie

Being right in the park made it easy to set off on morning hikes and get ahead of the crowds. The host was amazing and sorted out how we could get from the train station to the park. Since it was our first time there, we were a bit unsure about the logistics, but she made the whole thing smooth and enjoyable. You're farther from the city, though that isn't why you come here, and didi is very affordable.

The setting is secluded, with magnificent views. The owner looks after your needs and can pick you up if necessary. What an experience.

The room was huge, the view from it was lovely, and the quiet surroundings made the stay peaceful. The place is fantastically located, but what really made it special was the family running it. They were warm, attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout. Even though we arrived late, they served us a delicious meal at a very reasonable price. The food was fantastic, and after that we didn't want to eat anywhere else. There were little flaws, like missing towel hooks and stains on the ceiling, but they were easy to overlook. I've only called one other stay in all my travels "exceptional," and this one belongs on that list too 🙂

We were welcomed so warmly. A lovely, cozy place, and a great experience.
