The location made getting around easy, with metro exits B and E just a minute or two from the entrance, and Didi was convenient too. I arrived in Zhengzhou early and reached the hotel around 9:45 a.m.; they had a room available, so I could check in then. Cici at the desk made check-in quick and friendly, and gave me tips for getting around. The room had a distinctive layout. I couldn't find the bathroom at first, then realized it was behind the TV. It's an unusual, elongated space rather than the typical square or rectangular shape. The lobby and lounge impressed me, as did the facilities: an indoor heated pool, gym, jacuzzi in the toilet, and even a running track. My stay was really enjoyable, though it was too short to use the facilities. A couple of things let it down. There was a hot water flask but no teabags, and the air conditioning didn't seem to work right. I set it to 18 degrees but sweated through the night; it ran for a while, then switched itself off. Still, this was probably one of the best Le Meridien properties I've stayed at, and I'd strongly recommend it.

We had a suite for a couple of nights, but the fridge had very few drinks and the beer I drank wasn't replaced. There were no teabags or welcome note either. The executive lounge wasn't comfortable, and had little food or drink, so we didn't use it even though we paid extra. Usually that lounge access would be included with a suite. Check-in and checkout were a bit slow. Apart from those things, it was like a standard five-star hotel.

The Club room package was a nice bonus, with access to the lounge, breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening meal. The rooms are roomy and tastefully decorated, and the pool and gym are well equipped. The hotel is fairly central, next to residential neighborhoods with plenty of affordable local food. For a 4-5 star hotel in Zhengzhou, it’s one of the best values. I’d definitely stay here again.

Brant at the concierge desk was so helpful and really went out of his way for us, even finding a comfortable ride to the airport. His English was the best of anyone we met at the hotel 😊
