Zhejiang Marriott Hotel

From its spot in the tallest building in Zhenjiang, the hotel has impressive views of the Yangtze River. Better air quality and visibility would make the view even nicer. Breakfast was quite good, and parking was easy and free. There’s a large shopping mall attached, with lots of places to eat.

The restaurant service was top-notch, and I got to try traditional Zhenjiang cuisine, a nice local touch. Hyatt’s international standards were there too. The hotel is in the city’s tallest building, with impressive views and a shopping mall just below. Getting around was easy, and I had an exceptional stay at Hyatt Regency Zhenjiang. Highly recommended for a visit to Zhenjiang.

The city views from the upper floors are good. The hotel is in Zhenjiang’s tallest building, with the lobby on the 37th floor and guest rooms above it. The fitness room and swimming pool are on the 7th floor. My stay was clean and comfortable, in line with Hyatt standards. Breakfast was the letdown. There was variety, but the quality didn’t match the price, especially compared with this hotel standard elsewhere. More meat options would help.

The restaurant has a huge menu and the food was excellent. From the lobby, reception and restaurant on the 57th floor, you get a panoramic view of the Yangtze, with its little temples and buildings along the river. The rooms are large too, with fantastic views from as high as the 73rd floor. Staff were a mixed experience. Senior managers can speak English slowly, but junior staff struggled to understand even basic English and had to keep checking with them. There are big malls nearby, plus some good Chinese and Japanese restaurants, so you can spend an evening around there. The riverfront is within walking distance, as are a few temples. It’s in Zhenjiang’s tallest building, and also works well for business travelers visiting the industrial area.
