Friendship Hotel

The room was in good condition and very cost-effective. Abest Yuanben S Hotel is the official name, and I booked through Trip.com. Its location right across from Gongbeikouan Station is especially handy if you want to stay overnight in Zhuhai after exploring the city, before going on to Macau. The hotel Wi-Fi is limited. Daum, Naver, YouTube, KakaoTalk, and Signal don’t work, and Google Maps search isn’t very good, so use a Chinese SIM card for Google searches. Danggeun Market, Coupang, AliExpress, and similar services work well. There’s a supermarket next door, where fruit, beer, and drinks are very cheap compared with Korea. I bought quite a lot of fruit. The nearby underground shopping mall is big, with lots of different shops to browse. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Xiawan Night Market or 8 minutes by taxi, around 13 yuan. It isn’t very large, but it has a distinct local feel. A taxi to the famous Zhuhai Opera House costs about 8,000 Korean won. After leaving the Opera House, be sure to visit Jinshan Park. A taxi to its East Gate, Gate 1, costs about 20 yuan. From there you can take the cable car and Alpine Trail. The observation deck has panoramic views of Zhuhai city and the sea. The park connects directly to the beach, and the beachside facilities are excellent, making it a great place for photos.

It costs a lot for what you get.
